Hometown Heroes wanted for Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games
October 14, 2020 | by Matt Halfpenny
The Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games is looking for Hometown Heroes – champions of community sport – to be the faces of its next advertising campaign.
Your Hometown Hero could be a longstanding coach at your local club, a brave boxer who’s overcome adversity, a dedicated volunteer who always puts others first, or a lifelong supporter who’s always there, cheering from the side lines.
Nominate your Hometown Hero at birmingham2022.com/hometownheroes. Just simply describe how they’ve made a difference and why they deserve to be recognised.
The Hometown Heroes will be chosen from different sports and different parts of the West Midlands, celebrating and reflecting the rich diversity of the region.
The best of the nominations will star on billboards across the region in 2021, as the countdown to the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games begins.
Nominate your Hometown Hero – and give something back to someone who always puts others first.
Nominations close on Friday 6th November. T&Cs apply.
