England Boxing Member Clubs Invited To Launch Of GRAB Community Fund
September 29, 2023 | by Chris Boyd
England Boxing-affiliated clubs, of all shapes and sizes, are being encouraged to attend the virtual launch event of Grassroots Amateur Boxing (GRAB) Community Fund for their chance to get a slice of the ticket proceeds.
A generous 40% of each ticket sold by a GRAB participating club will go directly to them, with 20% going towards charities, voluntary organisations and other not-for-profit groups. The remainder will go towards prizes, operating costs and VAT.
If you are involved with an England Boxing member club and would like to find out more about fundraising with GRAB, you can register for the virtual GRAB Launch Event by clicking here.
England Boxing’s Head of Operations Avoen Perryman said: “The money raised by GRAB is going to make a lot of difference to grassroots EB clubs. We’d encourage all charities and community groups to come to the GRAB Launch Event and start fundraising with our lottery. It’s easy and free!”
Following the event, tickets for GRAB will go on sale via the exclusive website, which will launch soon.
Leading lottery management company, Gatherwell, has been appointed by England Boxing to operate the lottery, having successfully launched similar lotteries throughout the UK.
Phil Wright, Gatherwell’s General Manager, said: “We are delighted that Gatherwell has been awarded the opportunity to deliver the GRAB Community Fund. We’re looking forward to working with England Boxing to raise funds for many amazing member clubs”.
