England Boxing in partnership with TLC Worldwide are encouraging all affiliated clubs to sign up to the National Sports Network and play host to ALDI’s new ‘Get a Taste of Sport’ initiative.

The purpose of the National Sports Network is to offer sports to all social and economic backgrounds, highlighting inclusivity and diversity, whilst offering a wide choice of sports to try throughout the UK.

Being part of the National Sports Network enables you to play host to ALDI’s new ‘Get a Taste of Sport’ initiative and be included in their local directory.

The campaign will be active from Monday 19th June until Monday 31st July, with shoppers who spend over £30 in-store at ALDI receiving a voucher that entitles them to a free child taster session of an Olympic or Paralympic sport of their choice.

The campaign will be shared with a customer base of around 30 million people, many of whom will be looking to try a new sport – which will hopefully be boxing.

Benefits to clubs include:

  • A free opportunity to advertise your club in your local area and on a national scale, leading to repeat visits and increased footfall.
  • Attract new members who have not participated before or who may not have been aware of you previously.
  • No marketing cost to you.

For clubs who would like to host free taster sessions, the requirement is to provide one child or one adult, or both, a free trial session during times that suit you – allowing you to reach new potential members but only at times when you have the capacity.

Every individual club can set their own terms and conditions, so it fits in with your current timetable.

Customers will have until 31st March 2024 to redeem their sports session.
