England Boxing apprentices’ attend Youth Sport Trust Youth Summit 2023

England Boxing’s Community Apprentices Gabrielle Reid and James Kilobo attended the Youth Sport Trust Youth Summit 2023, an event that aimed to ‘celebrate diversity, encourage choice and promote wellbeing’.
The summit took place across the 15th and 16th July 2023 and provided those in attendance the opportunity to network and share their stories and the work they do in the community.
Central to discussions was how all young people in attendance can have a voice to make a change, as they covered topics including encouraging choice, celebrating diversity and promoting wellbeing.
Speaking after the event, Western Counties apprentice Gabrielle Reid said: “From Friday to Sunday we were engaged, empowered, and encouraged to take ownership of the sport and physical activity changes we want to see in the local community.
“This was a valuable experience and I’ll definitely take what I have learnt and champion it in my work with England Boxing.”
