England Boxing has received official confirmation from Sport England that it has achieved compliance with the Code of Sports Governance.
A Code for Sports Governance sets out the levels of transparency, accountability and financial integrity that are required from sports.
England Boxing Chief Executive Gethin Jenkins said: “We are pleased to have had confirmation of meeting the Code of Sports Governance.
“We are proud of the work that the sport has done to achieve the principles of the Code and we know that they will allow us to develop the sport further.
“Working with the membership, this funding and support will help us with our ambitions to continue to grow the numbers participating in competitive and recreational boxing, while also improving the overall competition and delivery experience for the boxers, coaches, officials and volunteers involved in the sport.”
