Board Member – Chris Smith

Chris has served in both the British Army and the Royal Navy in a career spanning over 25 years. During this period, he has held several positions within the coaching and mentoring discipline. In 2006 on joining the Royal Navy as a Hydrographic Surveyor Chris traveled the World operating in harsh environments such as the Antarctic working in sub-zero temperatures, on transferring to the Intelligence branch in 2015 Chris has worked and supported many organisations and departments across the government.

Chris is a major panel official and has held several high-profile roles within the Royal Navy and United Kingdom Armed Forces Boxing Associations such as Elite Head Coach, Royal Navy Officials Secretary, Royal Navy Boxing Vice Chairman, and UKAF Officials Secretary. As a Commissioned Officer, he brings strong operational and leadership qualities coupled with the ability to communicate at every level.

Outside of the office, Chris likes to spend time officiating at local boxing events and also spending time with his wife, children, and two dogs.
