Get involved in the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games

Can the community work driven by your boxing club help to deliver the vision and mission of the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games?
If so, a new community brand programme, being launched this Spring, would like to hear from you.
Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games will be the most significant sporting and cultural event that the West Midlands has ever staged.
It is the organisers’ hopes that communities can take advantage of the far-reaching benefits of the Games when the world descends on the region.
The Birmingham 2022 Community Brand Programme aims to enable local, regional, and national non-commercial projects, events or initiatives to be acknowledged by, and work with the Games on community activities.
The Community Brand will be awarded to projects, under licence, that share a common purpose and is open to clubs all over the country, not just in the Midlands.
It is expected to work in a similar manner to the Inspire Mark used at the 2012 London Olympics.
That helped a number of clubs raise significant money to put towards their community projects, with their involvement in a global sporting event proving to be a huge plus on funding applications.
The Birmingham 2022 Community Brand Programme is looking for ambitious, innovative community projects that support a diverse range of subjects.
These might be projects that aim to improve skills, offer training, provide volunteering resource, benefit the environment, encourage participation in sport, or deliver youth engagement activities.
