Female and male boxers in five different classifications will battle it out at the Spiceball Leisure Centre, Banbury next weekend in their bid to become a national champion in 2021 – and you can be there to watch them.

The England Boxing National Youth Championships will take in the quarter-final, semi-final and final stages on Friday 26th, Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th November, with categories for both Youth (Open) and Youth Cadets.

They will be joined on the Saturday (semi-finals) and Sunday (finals) by the England Boxing National Youth Development Championship boxers, with quarter-final bouts in that section being contested by the end of this upcoming weekend (20th and 21st November).

Also on the programme in Oxfordshire (postcode OX16 2BW) are a host of Senior bouts, as the pre quarter-finals take place in both the England Boxing National Amateur Championships (NACs) and the England Boxing National Senior Development Championships.

Senior Development bouts will be held on the Saturday and NACs bouts on the Sunday, with the winners going forward to the quarter-finals to be contested at the Chase Leisure Centre, Cannock the following weekend (4th and 5th December).

Members of the public can attend for the entirety of the event. The action starts at 1pm (12noon doors) on Saturday, while it is a 12noon start (11am doors) on Sunday.

Tickets are available to purchase on the day. Prices are £20 per adult, £10 per concession (over 65), £5 per child (six to 15-year-olds) and free for those five and under. Please note it is cash only and no £50 notes will be accepted.

Once in the arena, spectators are reminded that they must remain seated at all times and not stand up against the ring barriers. This is particularly important given the current need for Covid-19 protocols.

Should spectators stand, boxing will be stopped and will not continue until everyone is sat down. Please adhere to this instruction, not just out of respect for others, but also for everyone’s health and safety.

Please note that car parking is not available at the venue. There are, however, a number of large public car parks within five minutes’ walk of the venue (these may charge a fee for parking). When searching for parking, please note the venue postcode is OX16 2BW.

An England Boxing photographer and videographer will be capturing footage on both days of the event that may include capturing images of spectators. By attending as a spectator, you agree this imagery can be used by England Boxing and other media outlets.
