Women’s European Championships 2022 – draw and day one bouts

The draw for the EUBC Women’s European Championships 2022 has now been made – with six England boxers in action in Budva Montenegro.
In all, there are 152 boxers from 30 countries competing.

First bouts
Under 48kg: Gunel Rahimova (Azerbaijan) v Demie-Jade Resztan.
Under 50kg: Caitlin Fryers (Ireland) v Savannah Stubley.
Under 54kg: Antonia Giannakopoulou (Greece) v Charley Davison (pictured).
Under 57kg: Irma Testa (Italy) v Elise Glynn.
Under 60kg: Alessia Messiano (Italy) v Shona Whitwell.
Under 66kg: Hannah Robinson v Aneta Rygielska (Poland).
Today’s action
Two Three Lions boxers are in action today, both in the evening session with Davison facing Giannakopoulou in bout 1 (approx. 4.30pm UK time) before Shona Whitwell takes on Messiano in bout 7 (approx. 6pm UK time).
