Dedicated Epic Gold Gloves ABC boxer Maisie Donald has raised more than £1,000 towards her club’s #KOCOVID19 fundraising efforts by undertaking a gruelling 21-day fitness challenge.

The 15-year-old, who was been training at the gym in Newark-on-Trent for a year, has vowed to complete two hours of skip work, three hours of bag work, run 20 miles and cycle 100 miles.

The teenager is well on the way to achieving her goal, and is set to complete her challenge on Tuesday (30th June).

Already pledges have passed the four-figure mark, boosting Epic’s overall campaign total, which will bring in vital funds lost in revenue while the gym has been closed, to more than £3,250.

Esham Pickering, club founder and Head Coach, as well as a former British, Commonwealth and European Champion, said: “We feel privileged to have Maisie as a member of Epic.

“Her fitness, hard work and desire is second to none in the gym and Maisie’s Challenge is an inspiration to others at such an age.

“I would like to say a massive thank you to Maisie and her family for supporting the club and the Challenge. This will impact greatly on on #KOCOVID19 Save Our Club campaign by helping to ensure our survival and future success.”
