The England Boxing National Amateur Championships 2020 quarter-finals, semi-finals and Finals Day will be streamed live on BBC Sport’s digital platforms, England Boxing is delighted to announce.

It follows on from last year’s successful coverage of the same stages of the competition, as well as the England Boxing Women’s Winter Box Cup 2019 in December.

This year’s quarter-finals and semi-finals are being hosted at the Chase Leisure Centre, Cannock on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th April.

Finals Day follows the weekend after on Saturday 25th April from Manchester Central.

Amateur boxing’s most historic competition dates back to 1881 and the list of previous champions is a who’s who of English boxing.

Household names such as Henry Cooper, Frank Bruno, Nigel Benn, Ricky Hatton, Carl Froch, Tony Bellew, Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua, Nicola Adams, Savannah Marshall and Stacey Copeland are just a few of winners of a coveted national belt who have subsequently risen to fame.

“It’s an unbelievable experience for all those who take part in the latter stages of the NACs and the fact that it’s on the BBC really adds to that,” said England Boxing’s Development Coach, Amanda Coulson, herself a four-time former national champion at elite level.

“If I was still boxing and able to enter, I would be delighted to have the chance to be involved on such a stage, especially the glitz, the glamour, the smoke and the atmosphere that comes with reaching Finals Day.”

Bouts can be watched live via the BBC Sport website and app from one ring only at any given time for the quarter-finals and semi-finals.

The choice of bouts will be made by the BBC. Coverage will include commentary and alternative camera angles.

All bouts from both rings for the quarter and semi-finals will, however, be streamed live on the England Boxing YouTube Channel.
