The Great Britain contingent enjoyed success on day two at the European Under-22 Championships in Porec, Croatia.
Representing their individual home nations, Scots Sam Hickey and Lennon Mulligan came through their preliminary bouts, as did Welshman Ioan Croft.
The afternoon session saw Middleweight (Under 67kg) Hickey get the British off to a flying start in the tournament as he secured a unanimous 5-0 success against Azerbaijan’ Mirsharif Kamizade.
That was followed by victory for Welterweight (Under 67kg) Croft, who triumped on a 4-1 split against Spain’s Frank Martinez Bernad.
In the evening session, Flyweight (Under 51kg) Mulligan also made it through his opening contest against Siiovush Mukhammadiiev of Ukriane by a unanimous 5-0 margin.
Today’s day three action sees Croft in action again as he takes on Djejlan Toskic of Serbia, while his brother, Garan, will start his own campaign at light-middleweight (Under 71kg) against Norway’s Don Emini, also in the afternoon session.
Two GB boxers are in action in the evening session as Hickey’s second bout pairs him with Spain’s Pablo Coy Bernal and Wales’ Taylor Bevan begins his bid with a bout against Georgia’s Luka Matchutadze at light-heavyweight (Under 80kg).
