England Boxing condemns the actions of Russia in the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.

As a national federation, we work tirelessly to develop and promote boxing in accordance with the highest levels of integrity and in the spirit of promoting peace, and respect for human rights.

We therefore share the international community’s significant concern for the ongoing and escalating situation developing in Ukraine and strongly denounce Russia’s invasion.

We have already seen how the sporting world has come together to take action and show solidarity with the people of Ukraine and we welcome the continuation of this.

England Boxing resolutely stands alongside the boxing community in Ukraine and, with immediate effect, is adopting IBA’s policy of banning the participation of boxers and competition officials (including referees and judges) belonging to the national federations of Russia or Belarus in any competitions under its jurisdiction until further notice.

We would invite all England Boxing members to show their support for Ukraine by pledging a donation to the British Red Cross’ emergency appeal.
