England Boxing is pleased to announce the 15-strong squad selected to compete at the U17 European Championships in Budva, Montenegro, from 1st to 11th October 2026.

The line-up brings together an exciting blend of international experience and fresh faces, with several young boxers preparing to pull on an England vest on the international stage for the first time.

Lead Coach John Hodgkinson will be guiding the team, supported by coaches Gavin Rickelton, Warren Davies and Michelle Nelson.

Among those selected is Birkenhead Venture’s Letitia McKee, who heads to Budva with valuable experience already under her belt. Having progressed through the England Boxing Performance Pathway over a number of years, McKee has enjoyed European medal success on two occasions, including gold in 2024, and will now have the opportunity to test herself once again against some of Europe’s best talent.

Speaking about her selection, McKee said: “I feel proud and honoured to be representing my country again.

“This event means even more to me as I lost in the early stages of the tournament last year due to illness – so I’m looking forward to proving myself and hopefully will get a gold medal.

“My preparation for this tournament has been amazing from all my coaches and support down at my club too.”

For others, the championships will mark an exciting first. Noah Worth is set to represent England internationally for the first time, adding an extra sense of occasion to what promises to be a memorable trip to Montenegro. The youngster is relishing the opportunity to step onto the European stage and gain valuable experience in an England vest.

The Billingham boxer said: “It’s an honour to represent England for the first time, and to do it in a major tournament like the European Championships is even better. This is the biggest event that I’ve ever been a part of, and I’m looking forward to showcasing my skills on the biggest stage.

“My goal in Montenegro is to win a gold medal and gain valuable international experience. My preparation has gone really well; it has coincided with my holiday in America, where I have trained in different gyms, enabling me to stay focused.”

With 15 boxers selected across the weight categories, the championships will provide another important opportunity for England’s young talent to continue in their development and compete against high-quality opposition from across the continent.
