U23 England Performance boxers set for Round Robin in Belfast

A squad of 19 England Performance boxers has been selected to compete in a major Round Robin tournament in Belfast, Northern Ireland, taking place from 9th to 11th October as part of preparations for the upcoming U23 European Championships.
The event will see over 70 boxers contest 96 bouts across eight sessions of action at the Girdwood Community Hub in the heart of Belfast.
England’s team will take on opponents from Team Ireland, an Ulster Select side, and Hungary, who are set to host the U23 European Championships this November.
Lead National Coach Amanda Coulson highlighted the value of the experience for the squad: “The Round Robin in Belfast is a fantastic learning opportunity for the 19 English boxers heading out to compete.
“Over three days, they’ll have up to three contests back-to-back against Ireland, Ulster, and Hungary, and, regardless of the results, it’s an invaluable chance to learn, grow, and gain real experience through competition in the ring.
“We’ve got a great mix of U23 Performance and Development boxers in the team, all of whom have prepared really well in recent training camps and are ready to put in some strong performances. Opportunities like this don’t come around often, and we’re hugely grateful to Ireland and Ulster for the invitation.”
