The England Boxing Cost of Living Crisis Fund – supported by Revolut, the UK’s fastest-growing fintech company – is supporting 28 clubs to the tune of £25,000. Kenton ABC is one of the clubs it has helped.

Kenton ABC, part of TKO Newcastle – Boxing and Fitness Centre, is located in the Newcastle suburb of Kenton and finds itself right in the heart of the local community.

The club offers children from as young as six-years-old the chance to be part of a team that encourages fitness and positive health and well-being, as well as the chance to learn the art of boxing in a safe environment.

Kenton recently celebrated their fifth birthday, in which time they’ve become home to a large number of members including a Sport Newcastle Unsung Hero award winner, a volunteer on a mission to provide defibrillators to every club in Newcastle and multiple national champions.

Those achievements haven’t moulded immunity for Kenton from the economic downturn, however, and the club requested support from the Cost of Living Crisis Fund, funded by Revolut, to help with rent and utility costs.

Following their successful application, Kenton ABC’s chairman Craig Pape showed his gratitude towards the funding,

“The funding has helped us massively with the ongoing energy crisis and the bills that come with it. We at Kenton ABC would like to say thank you very much.”
