Applications welcome for the 2023/2024 Level Three Coaching Programme
August 3, 2023 | by Chris Boyd
England Boxing are encouraging applications for the 2023/2024 England Boxing Level Three Coaching Programme.
The programme is designed for coaches who want to develop their ability to a higher level, irrespective of the group of athletes they work with.
Applications are encouraged from coaches working across participation, talent, schools, children, or adults.
This learning programme has been designed to provide a high-quality practical learning environment for coaches.
Upon successful completion, coaches will be able to design and implement long-term coaching programmes as well as evaluate the process and outcomes of them.
They will also be able to support the learning, development, and performance of their boxers and of the sport as a whole.
Application Criteria
This qualification is aimed at coaches who are committed to their own development, have the desire to learn and are open to taking on new ideas and reflecting on their current coaching practices.
Coaches interested in the programme will be invited to an information day to learn more about the programme, decide if it’s the correct option for them and identify their next steps.
Applicants will also need to meet the following requirements:
- Hold an England Boxing Level Two coaching qualification.
- Show evidence of commitment to a high-performing coach environment for the previous five years.
- Hold a range of evidence of ongoing professional development.
- Provide two reference statements from individuals who can verify your coaching expertise and experience.
- Evidence of current coaching practice.
- Be athlete-centred in your approach to coaching.
- Have identified a mentor who will support their sport-based ‘technical development’.
