Mental health toolkit some boxers may find useful
May 7, 2020 | by Matt Halfpenny
Mental health charity Mind has developed a toolkit boxers coaches and others in the sport may find useful called ‘Coronavirus and your wellbeing’.
In times of uncertainty – with and some of us having additional time on our hands – learning something new and achieving goals has been linked with higher levels of wellbeing.
The toolkit has plenty of ideas to help, including tips for staying at home or indoors and how to take care of your mental health, along with a useful checklist which you can access via: mind.org.uk/coronavirus
The toolkit has been launched alongside Mind’s #HaveYourMatesBack campaign, which encourages you to notice if your friends are acting differently, by giving them a call or a text and asking if they are OK.
The video below features four involved in professional football who know the importance of talking about mental health issues.
