Update for Officials

Following the start of the 2025/26 season, England Boxing would like to make officials aware of several key updates.

• EB has recently updated its guidance page for officials on our website, which can be found by clicking here. We encourage all officials to familiarise themselves with this information as well as the newly updated Officials Selection & Upgrade Policy.
• Following a period of consultation and review, EB is pleased to inform our members that from Monday, January 5th 2026, all Supervisors and Referees will be required to have a valid and in-date enhanced DBS recorded on The Locker. To clarify, this update follows our earlier post in April this year, and we are pleased to confirm that – in accordance with the latest legislation and guidance – Timekeepers and Judges will not be required to have an enhanced DBS.

We hope this will come as welcome news, and we would like to take this opportunity to thank our officials for their tireless efforts in ensuring that grassroots boxing continues to thrive, safely, across the country.
