The England Boxing National Schools Championships 2021 semi-finals and finals are to be staged at the Vertu Motors Arena, Newcastle it can be confirmed.
The competition’s dates have already been set for 25th September (semi-finals) and 26th September Finals, with entry forms for the event to follow shortly.
More venues for other National Championships to be staged in the remainder of the year (Juniors, Youths and NACs, which will stage relevant Development Championships as part of them) will be announced in due course.
For this competition only and due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, Schools Cadet boxers do not need to have competed in any previous bouts to enter.
However, Schools Class A and B boxers still need to have completed two bouts to enter, with the reminder that Minors bouts count as one bout and skills bouts count as half a bout.
Developments update
Please note that any senior boxer who has entered the Development Championships previously can still enter this year in the new single category, as long as they are under the maximum bout limit.
However, if they won Class B then they are, and always were then classed as an Elite boxer, so cannot enter the developments again.
A previous winner of Class A can still enter this year, provided they are still under the bout limit.
