Title Belts bouts set for Rotherham this weekend

Nine England Boxing Youth Title Belt bouts will take place prior to the start of the England Boxing National Amateur Championships 2022 pre quarter-finals at the Magna Science Adventure Centre, Rotherham this Saturday (2nd April).
It follows the reintroduction of the Title Belts competition following the end of the Covid-19 restrictions that forced them to be stopped at the onset of the Pandemic in March 2020.
The England Boxing Title Belts series give boxers more competitive opportunities from across different levels an abilities.
Format
Belts can be contested at a Regional, Area or National level, ensuring boxers have a chance to compete against opponents of an appropriate standard.
Title Belts are currently contested at Elite and Youth levels.
There are 50 Elite National Title Belts that cover Senior Elite (25) and Youth (25) age categories for both males (13) and females (12).
There are also three Area Title Belts sections:
Northern: Merseyside & Cheshire, North West Region, Tyne Tees and Wear and Yorkshire.
Central: Eastern Counties, East Midlands, Home Counties, Midland Counties.
Southern: London, Southern Counties, UK Armed Forces, Western Counties.
All bouts are contested over three x three minutes rounds and at the following weights:
Male: 46kg – 48kg, 51kg, 54kg, 57kg, 60kg, 63.5kg, 67kg, 71kg, 75kg, 80kg, 86kg, 92kg, Over 92kg.
Female: 45kg – 48kg, 50kg, 52kg, 54kg, 57kg, 60kg, 63kg, 66kg, 70kg, 75kg, 81kg, Over 81kg.

Weekend bouts
This weekend’s title belts bouts in South Yorkshire include one female bout and eight male bouts across the two rings and can viewed by clicking here.
They follow four England Boxing Youth Title Belt eliminator bouts that were boxed last weekend before the start of the England Boxing National Junior Championships 2022 at the Guildford Spectrum.
Eliminator results
Under 51kg – Bilal Mohammed (Middlesborough) beat Amaan Mohammad (Hoddesdon) by a split decision.
Under 60kg – Kai Battista (Wearmouth) beat Jack Lambert (Chadwell St Mary) by a split decision.
Under 80kg – Louie Palmer (Halstead Essex Uni) beat William Hall (Sturminster Newton) by a RSC.
Under 86kg – Jack Blencowe (Attleborough) beat Kyron Oduro-Rogers (Belvedere) by a split decision.
