Judicial Chair Appointment

England Boxing makes inaugural appointment of Brad Pomfret KC to the role of Judicial Chair, to ensure a robust and independent approach to all cases handled through England Boxing’s disciplinary processes.

England Boxing is pleased to inform members of the appointment of an inaugural Judicial Chair, Brad Pomfret KC. Brad successfully navigated a comprehensive and competitive process, and will add impartiality, objectivity, and leadership to oversee what is already an impressive roster of judicial panel members, by providing oversight of disciplinary processes.

Judicial panels can be called upon to adjudicate on specific regulatory matters including, safeguarding, disciplinary, anti-doping and appeals. Judicial Panel members are appointed by the Judicial Chair, supported by the Compliance Team, and consist of a Chair, legally qualified representatives, and representatives of the sport of boxing.

Brad is a barrister with a broad-ranging commercial litigation and arbitration practice. The majority of Brad’s work is in the Business & Property Courts of the High Court, whilst he has maintained a sports law practice ever since being called to the bar and has acted as counsel in a broad range of matters over the past twenty years. He sits as an arbitrator for Sport Resolutions and has previously been a member of Football Association disciplinary panels.
