Information on the upcoming Senior Open Talent Day (1st July)

England Performance will be hosting the Open Talent Day (OTD) for invited Senior boxers (born between 1983 and 2004) this Saturday (1st July) at the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield.
This OTD is designed to identify talented boxers who may not have been scouted during the recent England Boxing National Amateur Championships (NACs) 2023, but who applied to attend the OTD by filling out the application in May 2023.
Each boxer will be assessed on technical and tactical skills, using a rating system (RAGG), and will receive feedback from the England Boxing coaches.
Boxers who impress the England Boxing coaches could join the nine male and seven female boxers in the inaugural Senior Performance Programme.
Reminder – Invited boxers should bring:
- (VITAL) 2023/2024 BCR1 Medical Card – This MUST be in date for the current season, without this you will be unable to participate.
- IN-DATE British Passport
- Boxing boots and running trainers
- Sparring gloves
- Head Guard
- Protector
- Hand wraps
- Skipping rope
- Gum shield
- Towel
- Lunch and/or snacks
Please note: England Performance would like to remind applicants that only boxers who have been invited should attend this weekend’s OTD. If you have not received an invitation, then you have been unsuccessful.
