Important changes regarding Level 1 Courses

To reflect our commitment to ensuring the wellbeing of our boxers and coaches alike, England Boxing would like to inform you that from the 1st January 2026 it will be essential for all candidates (member and non-members) enrolling on to an England Boxing Level 1 Assistant Course to hold a valid enhanced DBS.
From the 1st January 2026 anyone without an enhanced DBS will be unable to book on to our Level 1 course. This is to ensure our workforce meets necessary licensing and safeguarding requirements before the course has taken place. It will also speed up the process of the coach being able to obtain their coaching license once qualified.
This update will help to make sure that the process is being followed, and all club volunteers intending to go down a coaching pathway should seek to get a DBS as soon as possible to allow time for its return to be able to book onto the available courses.
