Entries are now open for England Boxing’s National Junior Championships 2019, with the semi-finals and finals to be staged at the Magna Science and Adventure Centre in Rotherham.

Eligible participants must have been born between 01/01/2003 and 31/12/2004, need to be registered with an England Boxing-affiliated club and require a parent or guardian to consent to their entry.

The Championships cost £5 to enter per boxer, with 18 weight categories (boys) and 18 weight categories (girls), ranging from over 34kg to over 80kg.

All entries must be communicated by Regional Secretaries to the Championship Coordinator by 3rd March 2019.

Each boxer will first take part in the regional Association Championships, the dates of which will be set by Regional Secretaries around the country.

The details of those winners – who will go forward as representatives of their region – will then be forwarded to the National Junior Championships

Initial pre quarter-finals from six regions will be completed by 10th March 2019. These will see boxers from the Yorkshire box those from Merseyside and Cheshire, East Midlands take on Tyne, Tees and Western Counties face Eastern Counties.

Quarter-finals must be completed by 17th March. They will pitch Midland Counties against Yorkshire / Merseyside & Cheshire, the North West Region against East Midlands / Tyne Tees & Wear, London Boxing v Western Counties / Eastern Counties and Southern Counties v Home Counties.

Winners at that stage will then travel to Rotherham for the semi-finals and final stages, which will be boxed on Saturday 23rd March and Sunday 24th March. The weigh-in will take place between 10am and 12noon.
