England Boxing is working with Activity Alliance, the national charity and leading voice for disabled people in sport and activity, as part on its ongoing drive to improve diversity and inclusion within the sport.

With the support of Activity Alliance, it recently launched the new Inclusive Boxing Programme, which will see Inclusive hubs set up around the country.

People leading each hub will be trained to deliver boxing without barriers to people of all ages, abilities and with varying health conditions.

Activity Alliance pushes for inclusion to be at the heart of all plans in sport and activity and disabled people to be prioritised, locally and nationally.

They work with many inspiring organisations, groups, and individuals, and are at the centre of influential programmes for disabled people.

The Activity Alliance teams work across various specialisms, driving change in disability, inclusion, and sport. Disabled people are currently the least active group in society and Activity Alliance are keen to change this.

Jess Cook, the Strategic Partnerships Advisor at Activity Alliance, said: “As the leading voice for disabled people in sport and activity, Activity Alliance looks at partners to help us achieve our vision.

“We are working with England Boxing to embed inclusive practice and support the selection process within their boxing hubs, will mean more opportunities across the country.

“We are here to help organisations to think more inclusively and accessibly, and our expertise, insight and resources will empower England Boxing to engage more disabled people and people with long term health conditions in the community.”
