England Boxing to host online Recreational Boxer and Crowdfunding Workshop

England Boxing will be hosting a Recreational Boxer and Crowdfunding workshop online, via Teams, on Wednesday 16th August at 1pm.
The first half of the workshop will focus on recreational boxing and cover the benefits of being a ‘rec’ boxer, how to register through a club, how to register as a recreational boxer who wants to spar and how to fill out the ME1 form.
This section will also highlight the importance to clubs of registering recreational boxers and how this covers a club through public liability insurance – even if an individual participates in one session as a taster.
Following this, the workshop will move on to discuss the options clubs have when it comes to Crowdfunding.
England Boxing has a partnership with Sport England to access funding pots through the Sport England: Active Together fund.
The criteria and workload involved in this funding project will be assessed and the seminar will conclude by looking at success stories of England Boxing-affiliated clubs who have applied for it. A Q&A session will follow.
