Clarification on the fast-approaching February 1st deadline

With Sunday 1st February 2026 nearly here, clubs are reminded to ensure all required documentation has been uploaded to the ‘Club Documentation’ section of their Club Locker Profile and that Club Health Checks have been completed.

Following the publication of the Charles Thomas Report in late 2023 and the tragic death of Ed Bilbey in 2017, EB has been working hard through its network of CSOs to visit all clubs as part of a robust health check regime.

This process not only helps avoid future tragedies but also supports clubs to be more sustainable and funding-ready for years to come.

As part of England Boxing’s ongoing work to support clubs and help unlock future funding and development opportunities, the following must be in place:

If a club has not got all the above in-place the club itself and all of their members (i.e. boxers, coaches, officials, etc.) will become invalid / action required, so will be uninsured and unable to coach, officiate, train or compete at that time. They will also not be able to receive permits for shows, access courses and QR codes/licenses, along with other key features of membership available through the Locker.

To assist clubs with this transition, EB have previously extended the deadline on two occasions (from June 1st 2025 to October 1st 2025 HERE; and from October 1st 2025 to February 1st 2026 HERE)

Please act now if anything is outstanding on your club profile to avoid disappointment or disruption to your club’s operations.

If you need support, contact your region’s Club Support Officer as soon as possible.
