We’d like to congratulate Bradley Smith, who, it transpires, was the winner of week two of England Boxing Strava Running Challenge Schools category – despite the app’s final leaderboard listings suggesting otherwise.

As his screenshot from 11.59pm on Sunday evening shows, the Bishop Auckland ABC boxer clocked up 83.18 miles, but when the Strava system updated, it recorded him as having finished on 72.4 miles.

His actual final total, which has also been manually verified, puts him ahead of Mya Ash (Gosport), 77.2 miles and Jack Smith (Devizes) 72.9 miles.

“It appears a glitch with the technology denied Bradley top spot on the leaderboard, but we can confirm he was a well-deserved winner, showing superb dedication across the week – well done!” said England Development Coach Amanda Coulson.
