Wales and England set for rematch in Cardiff this weekend

England’s return duel with Wales will take place in Cardiff this Saturday (18th February), with an initial 13 boxers scheduled to take part.

The first leg of the two-part series was held in Tamworth on Saturday 28th January, with the Three Lions winning 7-5.

This weekend’s outs will be contested at the city’s Sports Wales National Centre, Sophia Gardens.

The final rubnning order will, as ever, depend on boxers being successfully matched and then completing weigh-ins.

Weigh-ins will take place between 8am and 9am before boxing starts at 12noon.

The England squad will be led by Q Shillingford, with Ross Wilkinson, Ian Tennant and Phil Wilson as additional coaches. Charlotte Gilgannon will act as a female chaperone.

The England Boxing R&J contingent will be made up of Mike Hemming, James Battle and Simon Mullen.

For those wishing to travel to spectate, the entry fee is £20 adults and £10 for concessions.

54kg max – Dionne Mannion (Marden, Tyne Tees and Wear).

54kg to 55kg – Leo Wood (Guildford, Southern Counties).

57kg to 58kg – Denaeo George (City of Leicester Lightning, East Midlands).

57kg to 58kg – Connor Mitchell (West Ham, London).

60kg to 61kg – Mikey Evans (Rotunda, Merseyside and Cheshire).

67kg to 68kg – Louis Kirwan (Golden Ring, Southern Counties).

54kg to 55kg – Tom Wellend (Hoddesdon, Home Counties).

51kg to 52kg – Amaan Gulham (Warley, West Midlands).
